U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin Tours UW Oshkosh Living Healthy Community Clinic

OSHKOSH, WI – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin toured UW Oshkosh College of Nursing’s Living Healthy Community Clinic. Senator Baldwin was joined by clinic staff and partners from nearby hospitals to discuss how the clinic helps improve the health security of low-income Wisconsinites through key Oshkosh community partnerships with hospitals, nonprofit organizations and local government.

“There is great work being done here in Oshkosh to help low-income Wisconsinites find quality care,” said Senator Baldwin. “UW Oshkosh College of Nursing’s Living Healthy Community Clinic sets an admirable example by building key community partnerships with hospitals, nonprofit organizations and local government. Together, they help improve the health of Wisconsinites, as well as strengthen the entire Oshkosh community.”

“It was so meaningful to all of us from the College of Nursing and the Living Healthy Community Clinic that Senator Baldwin took the time to tour the clinic and to meet with us,” said Leslie Neal-Boylan, UW Oshkosh College of Nursing Dean. "Senator Baldwin clearly values nurses and advanced practice nurses and recognizes the vital role we play in the health of our communities. We are really pleased that she was able to meet with us."
