U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin Announces FEMA Assistance to Firefighter Grant Applications Now Open

Washington D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin today announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened the application process for the Fiscal Year 2013 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG).  The application period will close on Friday, December 6, 2013.

The grants are available to help fire departments and nonaffiliated Emergency Management Service organizations meet their firefighting and emergency response needs. The AFG Program seeks to support organizations that lack the tools and resources necessary to more effectively protect the health and safety of the public and their emergency response personnel with respect to fire and all other hazards.
