Baldwin supports bill to increase servicemembers’ pay, invest in Wisconsin workers and businesses, and stand up to adversaries like China
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) voted to pass the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), sending the annual defense legislation to the President’s desk.
“This bill makes critical investments in our national security by strengthening commitments to our allies around the world and sending a strong message to our adversaries like China. I’m proud to support Wisconsin’s servicemembers and their families with a well-deserved pay raise and investments for American workers and businesses that support our nation’s defense, including American shipbuilding,” said Senator Baldwin. “We still have more work to do to ensure President Trump follows the law as Commander-in-Chief, but this bipartisan effort takes important steps to put checks on this Administration when American troops and taxpayer dollars are on the line.”
